Welcome to Lovely Day and congratulations!
You're engaged! But...now what??
Wedding planning can be overwhelming, especially on a budget. The first thing you need to do before booking all your vendors, is to sit down and come up with a realistic budget for your big day.
Here are some things to build into your basic budget:
Venue
Wedding Planner or Coordinator (there is a difference and we will help you figure out what works for you!)
Dresses and formal wear
Photographer
Videographer
Caterer
DJ/band
Officiant
Over night accommodations & transportation
Bachelor and bachelorette trips
Jewelry
Bridal party gifts
Rentals
Linen, and the list goes on.
While it's important to have your dream day, it's also important to stay organized and not over spend. But how do you stay on track and on budget? Don't worry, in our new Wedding Blog, we will help you navigate you budget and what to cut and what you need to have because you just can't live without it!
One upside to booking your wedding planner or day of coordinator first, before everything else, they will have a list of vendors that they've worked with in the past and can assist you in keeping within your budget when it comes to certain vendors. They can also give you a very rough estimate on what you might expect to spend on each standard vendor, like a DJ.
Once you have your budget and your vision, it's time to start planning! Stay tuned for simple DIY projects that can save you money but won't stress you out!
